Watch a Sitting
Anyone may watch a sitting of Tynwald the House of Keys or the Legislative Council from the public galleries located in each chamber.

- Recess periods - when there are no scheduled sittings of Tynwald or its Branches, the House of Keys and the Legislative Council - will be added shortly.
On sitting days the times are as follows:
- Tynwald Court - 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10.00 - 13.00 and 14.30 to 18.30, including a 30 min break around 16.00.
- Please note that timings are approximate and sittings may continue later than 18.30 and also into Wednesday and Thursday.
- House of Keys - Tuesday (except 3rd in each month) 10.00 - 13.00 and 14.30 - 17.30 or earlier if the business is concluded.
- Legislative Council - Tuesday (except 3rd in each month) 10.00 - 13.00 and 14.30 - 17.30 or earlier if the business is concluded.
Order Papers for the sitting in progress are available to the public from the Messengers in the Lobby. The public may come and go freely during sittings provided there is no disturbance caused and the rules of conduct for Tynwald Court and the House of Keys are followed.
Accessibility

Tours
Weekly Tours in Douglas
Regular tours are held each week (excluding public holidays) on:
- Monday at 2.00pm
- Wednesday (May to September) at 2.00pm
- Friday at 10.00am
There is no charge for the scheduled tours and they usually take approximately an hour and a half.
It is not usually necessary to book but if you wish to reserve a place you may do so by calling on (01624) 685500 or emailing enquiries@tynwald.org.im.
It is also possible to pre-book tours for groups at other times, including evenings and weekends. To request this please call or email giving an indication of the requested date, time and number in your party and we will contact you with options.
School Tours

Online Tour
If you can't come to Douglas you can still enjoy our virtual tour. Tour all three Chambers and learn more about Tynwald and our unique parliament.
Please be aware that due to the age of the building, some parts of the tour are accessible only via stairs. Mobility impaired visitors can be accommodated via a different route but prior notice would be appreciated.

Welcome Area
The Tynwald gift shop sells locally crafted items, gifts, postcards and books related to the Isle of Man. The gift shop and welcome area is open to the public and open all year round.

Information Service
The Office provides an Information Service for those wishing to find information and documentation relevant to the work of the Legislature of the Isle of Man.

Due to the volume of enquiries we receive and our limited staff numbers, we are unable to offer a research service. Staff are available to assist the general public with basic enquiries, particularly finding documents in hard copy or on websites and directing them to Government Departments for further information.
Staff may not give legal advice.
We provide a working area for viewing and research purposes in the Welcome Area. A limited copying service is available, which is chargeable, and subject to staff availability.
How to Find Us
The sittings entrance, on Bucks Road, provides access to the public galleries of the Tynwald, House of Keys and Legislative Council Chambers on sitting days only.
All other visitors, including those taking a tour, should come to the main entrance, located on Finch Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 3PW (pictured)
Reception is located on the ground floor of the building. Please make yourself known to reception on arrival.
Parking immediately adjacent to Legislative Buildings is disc-zoned. Parking permits are available from reception for visitors with appointments. There are also spaces for disabled badge holders. A pay and display car park is located on Finch Road and is around a five minute walk from Legislative Buildings.
